Free time

One thing that has changed is that Kristi is now a stay at home mom. So I do not have the grandkids every day, boy,, that was hard at first. I had them since they were each 8 weeks old.. didn't know what to do with myself.. but they have "sleep overs" and they will ask if we go longer that a week of seeing them.. Now get to be grandparents and spoil them instead of caregivers and have to discipline as much. LOL. We are loving it.

Changes

It has been a long time since I have updated,, been busy and things have changed, I have two new great grand babies!! And a new puppie, just what I needed.

Changing Times

There has been a lot happening,, Jerry may be facing heart surgery,although I stand firm in the belief that God is going to heal him and no surgery will be necessary, and we have a new great grand baby.. Christopher Andrew Fuller-Walker.J.R. J.R for short. To see a new life is the most amazing thing, even after all these years I have spent on earth, it is still awe inspiring

New Beginnings

Well, we have moved into our new house, wow, how different. We lived in the old place 25 yrs.. a lot of cleaning out, and a lot of cherished memories. Helping raise several grandchildren, and the place where Jer and I have spent all of our married life.. I keep asking him is he ready to pack up and go home.. we feel like we are in a hotel somewhere. However, since we have started hanging our wall prints, and getting all our furniture in place it is beginning to feel like home.
We have a lot of work ahead, Yard needs landscaping which we hope to do in the spring,a work in progress. I will post pics as we go along.

Lots of news

Heaven't really posted in a while so here goes,, we are moving into our new home in about 2 weeks, Yayyyyy!!! the moving process has been crazy.
News #2: we now have Elizabeth Grace my son in law's grandaughter who is 18 mos old is now living with them so we will be keeping her as well,,, so three kids under 5 WOW!!!!, any way we are excited and it will certainly be different having a little girl.
#3: having another great grandbaby due July 4, that makes 8 great grands.
So many life changes, but all exciting.. God just keeps blessing us. We have so much to be thankful for.

The leaves are changing, and the air is crisp,, it is nature's time to allow the plants and flowers to rest so that when spring comes.. they can begin again... Isn't it wonderful the through God we can begin again.. all sins washed away..

News

Well, Nathan has healed nicely and looks like his normal self now..and Gabriel now admits to giving him a little "push". Boys will be boys !! We now have our 21 yr old grandson staying with us.. He lost his job and was bouncing around from friend to friend and after much convincing ,finally decided he would stay with us until he got back on his feet..he is looking hard for a job, but the best thing is .. he has accepted Jesus as his Savior...he has been going to a church nearby and has met many friends who have been a wonderful positive influence.. and a answere prayer for me.

My yoga routine

I have recently started doing yoga.. and really can feel the benefit...but this morning was special.. it seems my dog decided he wanted to join in the fun, and what ever side I turned to,or what I did, he tried,, so funny,, just had to get some pics.. he actually posed for me,, when I told him what to do .. he did it..but I have to say , if goes into the lotus position,, well . that would just be too weird.. LOL..

Poor Nathan, looks like a defeated boxer !!! His eyes are turning black and nose is still swollen, just the first of many I am sure.. His brother now accepts a little responsiblity for pushing him, but it really was a accident or akasadent. LOL

Well, can't believe we made it four yrs before we had to make a emergency visit..Nathan "fell" at church "helped" by his brother. Hit a small table.. had a little cut ,but it was a open cut,so he needed steri strips... He told the dr. that he had been waiting for HOURS, but now he" understood that hospitals were silly places, but, at first he wasn't impressed of it !" At one point I told him to peek out of the curtain and look pathetic,,, he said " how pathetic?" then put on the most pitifull look,,,, then said " it's not working" . He looked like he had been in a boxing match. All is well... just a day in the life. LOL

Hubby's birthday

We celebrated Jerry's birthday Saturday, Sept 11, yep , Sept 11, for a long time it was hard to celebrate due to obvious reasons, but had a wonderful time at his brothers house with his sister and her husband and his brother, sat around and reminiced about earlier times.. Of course I am MUCH younger than them LOL . Anyway, we had a wonderful time.

WOW !

Gee whiz, time appears to be flying by,,the dynamic duo are really growing and maturing so fast. All the other grands are too, some are adults now, with children of their own. Jerry and I just sit and look at each other and wonder where all the years went..I remember when my parents were getting up in years, and I wondered why they did the things they did. Now I understand, they were just packing in all they could with the time they had left. I am so thankful, that I have the Lord. My life without Him would be pretty empty. You see, you can try to fill your life with things, but you will never fill that void in your heart, you know that emptness only God can fill up. I sit and dream about how I would like things to be, but none of it really matters, as long as God is the main focus. If He is ,then I will get just what I need,maybe not what I always want. But, I am content with that. Not just content,,, but HAPPY with that. This is a time of my life that is just so sweet.. Not trying to accomplish any great feats. Just to live out my days in God's will. Enjoy my family and just keep on truckin.. Now I am not planning on going anywhere. Just musing. LOL

We have found out that there is a seventh great grandchild due in the spring. Looking forward to a new blessing. Will be sure to put up pics as soon as he/she arrives.

I just can't believe these two boys are growing so fast. We warned Gabriels teacher that he was NOT like Nathan, she laughed . She called his mom tonight and told her what a sweet ,well behaved child he was. My question is.. Where is my grandson and what did you do with him.. lol. He is a clown and a handful, but I love him dearly.. you just can't stay upset with him when he flashes those blue eyes, and smiles with those dimples..He and Nathan are truly a blessing and they are keeping this old women busy. Love every minute of it.

It seems that just yesterday, I held a newborn boy in my arms and was singing Jesus Love Me, and look at him now.. Growing into such a little man.

Growing older

Time is really flying by and I now realize that my years here are much less than the years I have been here. I fully intend to live my life to the fullest and the way that God would want me to live. My family is the most important thing to me, the love of my husband,daughter,grandchildren and my husbands children and grands and greats, are very important to me. I am pleased to say that Kristi's husband and I have a wonderful relationship and I love him as well. All of the girls ,mine,and Jerry's are a part of who we are, and we love and cherish them.Their husbands , each in their own way, are a pleasure to know and love. We may disagree at times, but that is what family is all about !
We just found out that a new great grand baby is due in the spring, that will make # 7, God just keeps blessing us.

Today is Gabriel's third birthday, wow , how times flies.. he is a whirlwind, always clowning and always in motion...but such a blessing.

When they get quiet, you better go find them.

Well, it seems that while playing yesterday, they picked up their WALL-E bean bag, which had a hole in it. As they walked in front of the fan it suddenly started snowing !!! They thought this was marvelous. Needless to say, WALL-E is much flatter, and the shop-vac full of "snow". They also had great fun, emptying the toy box, and basically destroying their room. Oh well, you are only young once, and I just couldn't fuss at them. Just too cute. LOL

Hard Decison

I had to make a hard decision, yesterday, but I realized that having four dogs were just too many to be able to properly take care of. I have tried for some time to find homes for two of my dogs, however I finally had to take them to the animal shelter..My heart is broken, but as in all things I prayed about it and feel this was my only option, I am a firm believer if you can not properly take care of you pets , then you do not need them. Since my husband and I are both retired, keeping four dogs up to date with shots, heartworm prevention etc, was just becoming to costly.So, we now just have Gator, the oldest and biggest and Diva, the youngest and smallest,, Choctaw, should be placed fairly easy , he is a sweet ,loving ,smart dog, who is obedience trained, Sophie has become aggressive and I fear she will not be adoptable, but pray that someone can take her and be abe to handle her. Just wanted to update you on the change of status with my "family".

Today, I was at my daughters house and saw two butterflies, actually got close enough to take pictures, so beautiful. I could just imagine God just motioning with His hands and whoosh! there they were..

I was at the Prayer Ralley on August 9, 2010 and was extremely proud of Aiken and surrounding area, we stood firm and will not let outside entities try to invade our culture. We are a area who lives and believes in God's word and were proved that yesterday with great gusto. I am so grateful for Pastor Tad, sorry I do not remember his last name, but he did a wonderful job bringing all of this together. Thank you God, for your protection and guidance. To You we give all the Glory.

Ponderings

As I sit and think about life and all of its ups and downs ,I can't help but think about Jesus, His hands all withered,rough, and His back with the blood striped marks. All of this for us, you and me. My Savior died on the cross to enable me to be able to live a life of promise. Promises He made. In times of trials I go to Him, in times of happiness ,I thank and praise Him. During times of tranquility I sit and listen for His voice. It is so sweet and pure. When He speaks to me, it is so comforting, because He always imparts is love and wisdom.

So if you have times of trouble,times of happiness, give thanks that there is a God to go to, someone who will speak to you in the stillness. Listen carefully, it will make you smile.
